The strength of Expo Fresh comes from three generations of growing and shipping by the Garcia Family.
The Garcia family began farming in Baja California over forty years ago. Soon the family moved in search of new land to Valley de Camalu, where much of the produce is still grown today.
Over the years, the family has developed new technical procedures and methods of farming to improve the value of the land and the quality of the product grown. Two of the most important contributions came from the use of new equipment to irrigate the land, and the use of advanced technology to purify the water. This also improved the effectiveness of the drip irrigation system.
In recent years, the size and scope of the business has greatly expanded. Every year, improved farming equipment is added and the amount of land under cultivation has grown.
Several years ago, a modern distribution center and cold storage facility was built in San Diego, California. All product is now received at this location and held in cold storage for consolidation prior to shipping. This allows Expo Fresh serve their expanding customer base throughout the country.

Product Quality Starts In The Fields
Expo Fresh has always been deeply involved in the growing and packing of their products, and has constantly strived to improve quality and yield.
Growing begins with selection of the proper seed variety, and then incorporates the latest cultural practices to produce outstanding product. However, this would not be possible without the commitment and dedication of loyal workers.
