History
In 1980 the Molina Group has businesses and establishments in the commercial and industrial branch; it began its agricultural activity by acquiring a field located in the “Pesqueira” area north of the city of Hermosillo, which they named “Las Mercedes”. The early years passed by with a very conservative growth, starting with a plantation of 16 acres of the perlette variety and flame table grapes. Slowly the cultivated surface grew and at the same time other varieties were introduced such as Sugraone, Red Globe and Black Seedless.
In the beginning the commercialization of our table grape was focused solely on the national market; but with NAFTA's signature in 1994 new commercial spaces were opened in the United States and Canada giving us the necessary impulse for our growth.
The effort and technification with which the production and harvest activities of the fruit are carried out have given as a result very high quality fruit, making us expand our market all the way to the European community. This fact has made us implement alimentary innocuity programs and quality certifications.
In the year 2005 the opportunity to buy a new agricultural field arises. “La Navidad” located in the northern part of Hermosillo's coast. As part of our expansion, a cold room was acquired in Nogales, Arizona (MJ Brothers Services Inc.), being one of its functions to be the distribution center. In accordance to this effort a truck fleet was acquired, to have total control of the cold chain in our products.
In short, Molina Group is a company dedicated to the production of high quality fruits and vegetables, which seeks to satisfy the consumer's tendencies and his demands with varieties gifted with an exceptional quality and a recognizable identity.
