Facility Audit Program
|Definition: This program provides a third party
verification for the client's safe food production program in storage
facilities, packing and processing operations. Optional HACCP modules available
for packing and processing audits.
Consists Of: Comprehensive questionnaires that are provided to facility
auditees tailored to their specific step in the supplier. At an agreed upon
time, a PrimusLabs auditor arrives and conducts an onsite inspection. After the
questionnaire and the information obtained during the site visit are analyzed,
an audit report is compiled and submitted to the client detailing those items
that do not meet regulatory requirements, do not conform to Good Management
Practices (GMP) and any other identified non-conformances. "PrimusLabs also
issues a certificate stating the audit score."
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Security and HACCP: Are
guidelines established to ensure a clean and safe working environment while
eliminating the potential for contamination of food products. The PrimusLabs
GMP program' scopes cover pest control, sanitation, maintenance, traceability,
training, chemical control, microbiological testing, foreign material
contamination, process control etc. looking at physical issues in the
production areas as well as the support documentation. The Food Security
section looks at the physical site security, employee and visitor security
issues, product/water/packaging/transport security and supporting documentation
e.g. training. HACCP looks at plan development, execution, review and training.
