PrimusLabs GMP
Good Manufacturing Practices are guidelines & regulations that are designed to ensure that packing and processing operations account for food safety issues. PrimusLabs GMP programs cover many topics including pest control, traceability, sanitation, food defence, maintenance, foreign material control and HACCP. PrimusLabs programs are tailored for different types of facilities including cooling, packing and processing and storage operations. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are developed and incorporated into the GMP program, providing guidance with respect to potential points for contamination and preventative or corrective measures to mitigate their effects.

Food Safety Program Tools

Primuslabs provides various free self help webtools to guide you in your food safety operations. You can use them as tools in your audit preparation:

  • The Manual Development Toolkit has been designed to help start off your company's program by providing simple generic, pre-made documents ready for editing.
  • The Online Audit Program allows you to create self-audits, to give you an idea of where improvements should be made.
These tools require the user to tailor the information to fit their operations specific situation.

Apart from helping you build your food safety program, this may also help you prepare for an audit.


Getting started in the auditing process

Please complete the Facility Information Sheet with information of your operations to be audited, and send it to auditadmins@primuslabs.com or fax to 805-352-1364 to get the scheduling process started.

Include an Audit Release Statement if you want to permit the release of your audit data to PrimusLabs' active buyer sites. Please note there is a fee per transfer.
