Residue Lab Begins Offering Heavy Metal Testing
PrimusLabs’ Chemistry laboratory will soon be offering tests for various heavy metals. Testing for the most commonly occurring heavy metals: cadmium, lead, mercury, and arsenic is currently possible, and the lab will soon have the capabilities to test up to 17 different heavy metal compounds.
With the recent purchase of a new instrument, PrimusLabs will be capable of conducting Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) for trace amounts of the metals. Those heavy metals naturally occur in soil, and are most commonly found in various types of produce, including leafy greens, rice, and celery.
In addition to tests for individual heavy metal compounds, the lab will also begin offering a 17-metal screen. For more information on heavy metal testing, contact PrimusLabs sales representatives at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 805.922.0055.
